I have a friend (I know shock horror, HA!) her name is Raina AKA Rain-Dog, she is the driving force behind vintage boutique Old School Cool, and she is one of the most beautiful people to enter my life. It's a little hard to write this post without getting emotional and wanting to cry like a bitch, but this little lady found me and started writing to me just after I had Eedi. Her lover was mates with mine, and she, like me just pushed a baby out of our secret gardens. We bonded over social media and late night text, comparing notes on our babies and our addiction to biscuits.
A year ago in November, Raina McRain Rain got married to her bearded boy and I was honoured that she wanted me to be apart of their special day. Not only did I get to be a maid, I got the most important duty of making her beloved wedding dress. I will admit I did shit my pants at the thought of making a wedding dress and the bridal party dresses but once we had the designs done, the patterns drafted, and the fabric ordered it was all smooth sailing. Their wedding was so beautifully put together, and although it has been a year since that day I can remember it like it was yesterday.
I love these guys, and as I roll on with life I feel like its hard to find true friends. I am blessed to call them friends and can't wait to see these two, and their spawn grow into wrinkly old raisins. So lets give the O'Brien's a big H O O R A Y, and wish them a very happy and long life together as they celebrate their First Wedding Anniversary.
